The Novo Nordisk UK Research Foundation has partner status with the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). This means that the research supported by the Foundation meets predefined criteria such as independent peer review and is likely to yield benefits in terms of patient care and management. Therefore Research projects funded by the Foundation will be automatically adopted on to the NIHR portfolio of studies. By including studies in the NIHR portfolio researchers have access to the resources of the Clinical Research Networks including training and support and also the possibility to access research nurses and administrative staff as deemed necessary.
